Spring Hill College- B.S. in Psychology and M.A.T. in Secondary Education- Social Science
This is my fifth year teaching. I previously taught 6th grade US history for four years at Burns Middle School. I completed my internship here at Clark Shaw, so I am thrilled to be back!
I graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School before attending Spring Hill College. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology and worked in a psychologist’s office before deciding to return to Spring Hill College to get a master’s degree in teaching secondary social sciences. I love helping students connect the stories of the past to their lives today, as well as encouraging them to be critical citizens and lifelong learners.
I enjoy reading fiction, looking for historical artifacts at antique stores, spending time with my godson, and planning trips to take with my husband. My favorite travel destination so far has been NYC; Central Park is beautiful and an astonishing calm juxtaposition to the busy city! I am looking forward to a road trip through New England once it is safe to travel again (post COVID). I am also learning to hand letter- digitally and in print.
I am excited for an excellent first year as part of the Clark Shaw Eagles!
